8 Deep Water Bay Drive Residential Development

Gallery

Deep Water Bay Residential Development (Lot 1190) is a prestigious and exclusive address nestled within the forested southern slope of Hong Kong Island. A world class team of consultants including  AECOM’s landscape design and structural engineering teams, Foster + Partners, and a host of sustainability experts collaborated to execute a superb site of luxury with social and environmental sustainable integrity. A holistic design approach seamlessly blends the program of the residential tower, central garden and two villas with the surrounding lush green mountainous context through the themes of framing, sustaining, and inhabiting. Concurrent to the design themes are the tactile elements of forest, water and stone, which celebrates the development’s contextual qualities.

Within a confined site of one hectare, the landscape is composed of a series of unique and contemporary landscape rooms including: private gardens (duplex units, penthouse units and villas), an entry plaza, sky garden, pool and deck, central lawn, children’s play area, community garden, terrace gardens, and finally an iris garden which will double as a rain garden.  Careful consideration was given to the landscape, which serves as the driving force behind all design decisions. Native and adapted vegetation dominates the plant palette. Given the space limitations of the site, the entire landscape is situated  on podium above the car park.
