Landmark East at 102 How Ming Street

Gallery

The shifting economy is driving new developments in Kwun Tong. As part of the new urban renaissance, Landmark East is a new award winning architectural icon and public open space. The project has received a Provisional Platinum under HK Beam.

The project vision accomplishes two key goals: first, to create a landmark development that revitalizes the district. The overall landscape incorporates a new urban open space plaza linked to an existing public park. The second goal is to apply sustainable practices and technologies throughout the development; integrating the architecture and landscape with solar and heat technologies that regulate the building temperature.

The design of the urban landscape is about creating a spatial dialog between the two towers, the urban street frontage and public plaza. Heavy standard street trees such as Terminalia Mantaly, Ficus Benjamina, Plumeria rubra Acutifolia, Jacaranda Acutifolia were planted
for instant enhancement of the urban character. The plaza further defines a series of shifting linear water and bench elements for social sustainability.
