The project site is located in the southeast of Nanshan District, Shenzhen. To the West of the site is the core business circle of Coast City in Nanshan District, to the South the Shenzhen Bay Port, and to the North the Shenzhen Bay Sports Center. It belongs to the core area of the Nanshan Developmental District and is an important part of the main city center. The AECOM economic and planning team was entrusted with the overall planning and strategic planning of the Houhai area. AECOM proposed the overall positioning of the Houhai central area as the future Shenzhen’s international innovation portal, and the development strategy of “Headquarters of Finance + Humanistic Innovation”.

 

On this basis, we conduct in-depth inspection of the land use conditions, further refine the nine core cultural facilities, analyze their placement requirements, summarized the land use conditions required for development, and determine the main highlighted projects and the layout of the space. Meanwhile, the conceptual development design is carried out according to the project’s individual characteristics, and the spatial relationship of the “three horizontals, one vertical and seven groups” of the overall planning is coordinated.
