The Residential Development at Tuen Mun is a high-end prides itself in creating places for people. Not simply with stunning architecture, but with calm and relaxing environment supported with green, landscaped surroundings required in order to enjoy life to the full.
Where the central Ficus trees occupies a pivotal position and is one of the iconic feature of the site, strong attention was paid to the tree preservation, a series of maintenance and remedial treatments including vertical mulcing and other design preservation were established to improve the condition of the trees.
The design includes a sequence of luxurious private and communal gardens for the residents. Driven by the natural beauty of the slope and Three Ficus trees in the centre, the landscape design draws in the woodland understory, embedding the six buildings within this very sensitive site, with the woodland and natural landscape imposing itself onto the architecture. The design intent is to create a seamless, free-flowing landscape that establishes a strong identity and a sense of place that is truly unique to the site.
Besides the main development, AECOM was also commissioned to upgrade the public pedestrian road in front, preapre compensatory planting proposal and re-deliver it to the Government.
