Our practice strives to look at projects from new perspectives. We endeavor to continue to work closely with continuing clients to build lasting relationships.  For this project, AECOM was commissioned by the Genzon Group to provide landscape design consultancy services for a new commercial IT campus in Shenzhen. The project is a 8 hectare site located in the Shenzhen Nan Shang High Tech Industrial Park. The design for this project was developed based on three main principles put forth by our client. First, that the project be a creative place full of energy, that it be green and vibrant and that it be sustainable utilizing technology that promoted resource efficiency.

 

 We developed an approach that combined social, economic and natural principles into a knowledge based platform or a Think Place. It is a place where people work, gather and think about new possibilities, where creativity is the commodity and the free flow of ideas are exchanged in an engaging, green and sustainable environment. The landscape is a composition of spaces. Inspired by nature and social attractors, we created fluid forms and surfaces for seating and movement that organize places within the landscape for exchange and interaction. The campus is designed as a social and environmental network that promotes creativity and innovation.
