The site is located in Shenzhen’s High-tech Industrial Park and covers an area of 2.6 hectares. AECOM’s scope of service for this project is from conceptual design through to construction administration.  The design focuses on creating an innovative environment that facilitates cooperation, participation, and interaction constructing a place that inspires and stimulates creative thinking and to create a place that makes opportunities to define a new culture that promotes the confluence of knowledge based technology, human interaction and communication with in an ecological, green setting. The landscape design takes a holistic approach to the site, architecture, and landscape integrating with elements of light, water and green to create a comprehensive design statement.  

 

A series of layers and planes that weave throughout the building and site with interior gardens, roof top gardens, and green corridors creating a dialog with the exterior spaces. The exterior landscape focuses on three main courtyard spaces, each is designed to create hubs of activity. The Amphitheater is designed based on creating a space where people can congregate for large gathering, work in small groups or for individuals. The second courtyard, The Quad, focuses on health and play and the third, The Square is a place to meet and work under the Bosque of trees with the sound of the fountain in background.
